Artists Information
Sculpture in Context presents sculpture in unique indoor and outdoor spaces with free access for all and encourages innovation, education and public discourse.
The original concept and ethos of Sculpture in Context was to provide a platform for artists to show and and sell their work outside the normal gallery setting; to create a community of artists with the making and promotion of sculpture at its core and to enable artists at all stages of their careers to engage with the public. This has continued to be the ‘why’ of every exhibition for the last 40 years.
Sculpture in Context supports artists who are using traditional techniques and materials including stone, ceramic, glass, textile and metals to create their work. We also champion the use of new materials by encouraging the broadest possible definition of sculptural practice including object making, installation, performance, video, along with emerging hybrid forms, both permanent and ephemeral. Irish Sculpture has a rich history, with its roots deeply ingrained in the cultural heritage of Ireland.
The 50 acres of landscaped gardens give an unrivalled opportunity to show art beyond the gallery walls, giving selected artists the opportunity to exhibit their work in this wonderful natural context. With strong sales annually, Sculpture in Context is a key event in the art calendar for both public and private buyers of all levels. Entrance is by open submission and selection is made by a panel of three independent judges from different artistic backgrounds.

Food tells a story—of heritage, of connection, of indulgence. This exhibition portrays the journey food makes from the soil to our tables, to palette.
This could be anything from a classic still-life painting of fruit to a beautifully composed scene of your kitchen, utensils, or bowls.Show us photographs capturing the joy of shared meals, drawings of landscapes that nourish us, close-up shots of fresh produce, or depictions of farm animals that connect us to the land. Whether it’s a personal memory, a cultural tradition, or a creative exploration of food’s role in our lives, we invite you to bring your vision to the table.
