Open Call for Proposals for Dublin City | Cruinniú na nÓg 2024 from Dublin City Council | Creative Ireland

Dublin City Council Arts Office is pleased to announce a call for proposals from children and young people, artists/creative practitioners, professional bodies, cultural organisations, and neighbourhood communities/organisations to submit proposals to be part of Cruinniú na nÓg 2024. This open call is for events that take place as part of Cruinniú na nÓg, the national day of free creativity for children and young people, Saturday 15th June 2024 across Dublin City. Projects may occur over a longer period of time with a final result taking place on the 15th June 2024.

We are inviting applications from practitioners who have the capacity to devise, facilitate and deliver creative content and activities for children and young people in any medium (examples include performance, street art, fashion, photography, digital arts, literature, architecture, coding, biodiversity, folk life, heritage, archaeology, landscape).

The call for submissions will run until 12 noon on 21st February with three strands representing our focal points for 2024: Creativity Everywhere, Inclusion and Neighbourhood.

Focus 1 – Creativity Everywhere (Funding Range €1,000 — €3,000)

This year we are encouraging applications from projects and events which explore creativity as part of a larger social context. We are looking for projects which aim to target topics such as climate change, community, well-being, heritage, technology etc through the lens of creativity. We encourage applicants to surprise us with unique experiences for young people which explore the role of creativity in all areas of our lives.

Focus 2 – Inclusion (Funding Range €3,000-10,000)

Proposals in this category should include specialist activities or projects for children and young people who seldom get to access high quality creative experiences. These activities can include longer term projects or one off events.  Outcomes should be demonstrated on the 15th June 2024.

Focus 3 – Neighbourhood (Funding Range €5,000-15,000)

Proposals in this category could include mini-festivals, sharings or showcases in a targeted neighbourhood with a targeted community of interested children or young people. Proposals should have longer term developmental elements leading toward a public event on 15th June. Proposals should include how local partnerships bring their own resources to enhance and deliver the proposal.  Proposals should describe how children and young people will be supported to collaborate and lead ideas and delivery of projects.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss an idea before filling in the application form please contact [email protected]

Applications can be made here via Dublin City Arts Office Submission Manager
