Modern & Contemporary Art – Herman’s Auctioneers

Commencing on May 6th, Herman’s are thrilled to present over a hundred exciting works of Irish art in their upcoming Modern & Contemporary Art Sale. Providing collectors, artists and galleries with a pioneering new channel to sell and display their artworks, Herman’s will conduct the timed auction online from May 6th to 9th, and bidders are welcome to view the works all weekend on location at 10 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2.

Following the digital innovations of the past two years, and overwhelming success of their online auctions, Herman’s have compiled the sale to feature some of Ireland’s most promising and innovative artists. The works have been sourced from private collections, galleries and direct from artists.

Select highlights from the sale include works from Salvatore of Lucan, David Booth, Neil Dunne, Robyn Carey, Patrick Graham and Sophia Vigne Welsh, in what promises to be a compelling chromatic display and an impressive surge of energy for the Irish art market. In addition to the sale of these remarkable works of contemporary art, proceeds from the sales of selected works by Shane Berkery and Brid Higgins Ni Chinneide will be donated to charities in aid of the Ukrainian crisis. One such work is ‘Nude Man’, oil on canvas, by Shane Berkery, expected to achieve €5000-8000 euro, with the proceeds being donated by the artist to The Ukraine Crisis: Irish Red Cross.

Viewing will be held at 10 Wicklow Street, Dublin 2, opening from 6:30pm on Friday, May 6th, and bidders are welcome to view the artworks until 6:00pm Monday, 9th of May, when bidding begins to close online. To view and bid, register with Herman’s app or on their website, herman.ie.
